"The Advanced Driving School is a hands on, exciting course, that helps the driver learn how to deal with dangerous situations whilst driving. Unlike the Defensive Driving Course, and the training for stages of your licence, where what you learn is limited to the road code, the Advanced Driving course is inside the car, mostly one on one, and covers so much beyond the road code. It covers real life situations. I can honestly say that I have more confidence with my driving, and if I was in any situation I would have an good idea of what I needed to do to avoid, or reduce the impacts the situation. Tony is an awesome instructor, I really reccommend this course, it should be complusory for anyone going for their licence.

While traveling to Gisborne over the Christmas/New Year period for a holiday, both rear tires on my 1980 Jaguar XJ6 blew out, due to de-lamination, as I was going through the Otoki hills (50km out of Gisborne). As I cornered the 75kmh corner the back of my car began to slide around, thanks to the skills I learned and experiencing similar situations in the skid cars, I was able to not only control my car and bring it to a halt but also keep it in my lane. In the process the car spun 130 degrees and finished 1m away from a cliff edge. Fortunately no one was harmed, and the only damage was two new tires and a new rim. It could have been fatal.

I shudder to think what the outcome may have been if I didn't have the knowledge of skid prevention that I recieve from attending your course. I am forever grateful.

I hope that your programme is running well and that many other drivers like myself are learning such valuable skills, these programmes should be compulsory, even for experienced drivers!
